🔻Reuters, in a detailed investigative report, has drawn a picture of the current situation of Prince Reza Pahlavi and the challenges facing him.

The report has addressed the challenges Mr. Pahlavi faces, including “dissatisfied financial backers, Washington’s indifference, and the violence of some of his supporters,” and discussed them in an interview with the son of the former Shah of Iran.

Reuters wrote that the report is by Steve Stecklow, Nathan Lain, and Gawin Finch, and was prepared based on conversations with more than 50 people, including eight people from among the current and former associates of Mr. Pahlavi. The report includes various points, ranging from his personal past and his achievements to criticisms about his “inability to unite the opponents of the Islamic Republic” and “the way some of his supporters have treated critics.” The Reuters report also says that Reza Pahlavi was willing to talk about these issues and, while rejecting many criticisms, defended his own performance.

Steve Stecklow, the Reuters reporter who has won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize three times for his investigative reporting, spoke with BBC Persian about this report.
