🔻Barack Obama, the former U.S. president, sharply criticized Donald Trump’s decision to start a war with Iran in an election speech in the U.S. state of Michigan, and said that his administration was able to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons through the nuclear agreement, without even firing a single missile.

Mr. Obama also said that Iran has now effectively gained a “veto power” over oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and attributed this situation to the increase in the price of oil, diesel fuel, and other goods in the United States.

In response to Barack Obama’s criticism, Donald Trump also attacked him fiercely and said that during his presidency he gave Iran billions of dollars and paved the way for the country to acquire nuclear weapons.

Trump, in a post on the social network Truth Social, wrote: “Obama was extremely incompetent as president. He paid billions of dollars to Iran and opened the way for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.”
