Atta Mahmoud, an international relations expert, said that increasing military pressure could bring the Islamic Republic closer to an agreement if there is a way to end the fighting. According to him, differences in the positions of the United States and Israel regarding negotiations and the continuation of the war have caused Tehran to continue emphasizing the preservation of its leverage.

Mahmoud added that, in the face of the possibility of the war spreading, the Persian Gulf countries have not limited themselves to strengthening their defensive capabilities, and signs of readiness for offensive actions have also been seen. According to him, these countries are simultaneously planning to protect their economic and energy infrastructure.
