Fereydoun Nadimi, senior researcher for defense and security affairs, said that a possible U.S. attack may not be limited to nuclear facilities and could also target missile bases, military industries, and command centers of the Islamic Republic. According to him, Tehran’s military response could expand the scope of the conflict to the energy infrastructure of countries in the region and increase the likelihood of the war dragging on.
