🎥 “Artfair” Tehran; from a judicial case to artistic sidelines

The Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran has opened a judicial case against the organizers of the “Artfair” Tehran exhibition.

According to Mizan News Agency, the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office said the reason for this action was what it described as “failure to observe legal and Sharia standards.”

The ticket sales website and the organizer’s account have also been blocked. At the same time, a number of art critics have raised questions about the criteria for selecting works and the artistic quality of the exhibition.
