The UK Maritime Trade Operations Center (UKMTO) says that an oil tanker was targeted by an “unknown projectile” as it entered the Strait of Hormuz.

According to military officials, two crew members of the tanker sustained minor injuries, but the ship continued on and is en route to its next port of call.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Center wrote on the X network that no report of environmental damage has been issued at this time, and that investigations into this attack are ongoing.

The agency has again advised ships to exercise caution when transiting the area and to report any suspicious activity.
