Photos have been shared on social media that are said to be related to “job applicants for the work of the villages of Moran and Ameisheh-ye Bozorg” who once again gathered on September 29 in front of the Dawal/Khuzai Sugar Company.

Videos released show that law enforcement officers are chasing the protesters with batons, and the sound of gunfire can be heard.

Protesters say they had gathered in response to a demand for “transparency in recruitment” and are protesting “the hiring of non-local workers and the keeping of skilled local youth unemployed.”

These job applicants also gathered on September 9 in front of the Dawal/Khuzai Sugar Company, and law enforcement used a stun gun to disperse them. Reports circulated on social media indicate that “two weeks ago, documents from about 200 people were received and they were supposed to be informed. Until last week they found out that the Dawal/Khuzai Sugar Company had hired non-local workers again.”
