🔸An earthquake measuring 7.4 that struck western Colombia on Monday has left at least 164 dead. The quake has been one of the most severe earthquakes in decades in this country.

🔸Search and rescue operations in the quake-hit areas of western Colombia continued on Tuesday, 20 Mordad, for the second day, and officials say that given the ongoing searches amid the rubble, the death toll could rise.

🔸The cities of Cali and Pereira are among the areas that have suffered the greatest damage. Multi-story buildings in these two cities have collapsed, and one of the towers of the historic cathedral in Manizales has also been severely damaged by the earthquake.

🔸Relief groups, with help from the police, the army, and volunteers, continued throughout the night searching for people trapped under the rubble, using machinery and, in some cases, with their bare hands.
