Amir Giti, a member of the editorial staff of Iran International, referring to Donald Trump’s goal in confronting the Islamic Republic, said that the desired outcome for him is for the Islamic Republic to accept that it cannot obtain nuclear weapons.

He added that the Iranian government plays for time in negotiations, and Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, had gone to New York to seek a suspension of sanctions and the release of some of the frozen assets, but Trump administration officials did not agree to these demands.
