Pakistan’s Ministry of Information, in a statement, reported airstrikes in areas of Afghanistan and said that in these strikes it targeted hideouts used by armed groups in two locations, killing at least 22 militants.
At the same time, Afghanistan accused Islamabad of attacks on the provinces of Kunar and Helmand, saying at least 9 women and children were killed.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Afghan government, said the attacks were carried out on the evening of Wednesday, the 8th of Mehr, and that 11 people were also injured.
Islamabad accuses Kabul of providing refuge to armed groups, including the Pakistani Taliban.
The Afghan government rejects this accusation and says that Pakistan’s strikes targeted the homes of civilians, resulting in the deaths and injuries of women and children.
