Ali Sadrzadeh, a Middle East issues analyst, said that by pointing to the concerns of Gulf neighboring countries about the possibility of renewed war between the United States and the Islamic Republic, these countries are worried that in the event of clashes, they would be targeted by attacks from the Islamic Republic and would suffer the greatest damage.

He added that on the eve of the U.S. midterm elections, these concerns have also cast a shadow over how countries in the region view the policies of the two parties—Republican and Democratic—toward Iran and the region.
