A Ukrainian military intelligence agency official said a North Korean missile unit would be deployed in western Russia to take part in attacks against Ukraine.

Andriy Chernyak, one of the officials of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, told Reuters on Wednesday, August 4, that the unit would have about 90 personnel and would be deployed in the Voronezh region, within Russia’s 112th missile brigade.

According to him, Moscow expects the unit to be equipped with 120 ballistic missiles and six launch platforms.

So far, Pyongyang has provided Russia with dozens of missiles and millions of artillery shells.
