A senior Israeli diplomatic source told the i24 News network that Israel is confident that Mojtaba Khamenei is still alive, but since the start of the “Operation Lions’ Uprising” no one has seen him.
The source, who was speaking with reporters after the meeting between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, said that Iran was the main axis of the negotiations, and added that Trump is considering three options regarding the Islamic Republic: a nuclear agreement, maintaining and escalating the blockade and economic pressure, or resuming military attacks.
He also said that, in the event of further military attacks, the Islamic Republic would face serious problems in terms of being able to respond, because, according to Israel’s assessment, after the destruction of a significant part of Iran’s missile production capability in Israeli and U.S. strikes, it has only about 1,500 to 1,600 missiles at its disposal.
The source added that Israel is currently not assessing that uranium enrichment is taking place at the “Kuh-e-Keleng Garla” site and that it has precise information from the storage location of Iran’s nuclear materials. According to him, Netanyahu told Trump that Israel has serious doubts about reaching a nuclear agreement with Tehran.
