A report by human rights sources shows that while the hunger strike of 1,500 prisoners held in Ward 2 of Karaj’s Qezelhesar Prison entered its 15th day on Monday, 5 Mordad (15th day), prison officials not only pay no attention to the protest and demands of the prisoners, but have also increased pressure on them.

Reports published from inside the prison point to the worsening physical condition of many of the hunger strikers, the continued transfer of prisoners to solitary confinement, and officials’ disregard for their demands.
