A British historian and journalist, in a book that has recently been published, has revealed fresh details about the role of a double agent Russian spy in cooperating with MI6, Britain’s intelligence agency, to neutralize the activities of the Tudeh Party in Iran in the early years of the Islamic Republic’s life.

In his book titled “Redwood” (Mammoth Tree), Ben Macintyre reports on behind-the-scenes cooperation between Britain and the United States’ intelligence services and the Islamic Republic in 1361 and 1362.
