Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev have held a phone call to discuss the development of allied relations between Moscow and Tashkent, the Kremlin reported.

Mirziyoyev also congratulated Putin on the successful conduct of the State Duma elections.
