🔻The U.S. vice president of the United States has linked the end of the war with Iran to a meaningful reduction in that country’s enrichment capacity, and said that promises of reducing enrichment in the future are not enough. In response to this request, an Iranian official told Reuters that before any talks about the nuclear program, Washington must accept Iran’s conditions.

Vance has also said there is a lack of transparency regarding the decision-making process in Tehran, and emphasized that it is not clear to what extent the president and the foreign minister of Iran have authority within the power structure.
