Prince Reza Pahlavi: Islamic Republic responsible for war, Iran’s isolation

Prince Reza Pahlavi, in a statement, blamed the Islamic Republic for the war, Iran’s isolation, and the country’s current crises, and said that despite “47 years of crimes against the people and the homeland,” this government is now trying to present itself as a defender of Iran.

He described the Islamic Republic as a “anti-Iran” regime and said that, through war-mongering and destructive policies, it has driven Iran into isolation. He also said that, despite decades of neglect of provinces such as Khuzestan and Sistan and Baluchestan, it is now talking about southern Iran.

Prince Reza Pahlavi also said that responsibility for the war lies with the Islamic Republic and its backers, emphasizing that those who have remained silent in the face of poverty, corruption, discrimination, and the destruction of the country—or have been complicit in it—cannot justify their record by leaning on the name of Iran.

He then added, stressing that the Islamic Republic is not synonymous with the Iranian nation, saying: “Real nationalism is standing alongside the Iranian people and supporting their efforts for freedom, prosperity, and reclaiming the homeland.”
