Reuters, citing three Pakistani sources, reported that the country is studying a route to resume talks between the United States and the Islamic Republic.
According to the report, Pakistan’s foreign minister also discussed a new effort to resolve the Middle East crisis with Chinese officials during his trip to China last week.
A Pakistan government official, whose name was not given, told Reuters: “The Chinese are dissatisfied because the Islamic Republic’s attacks on other countries in the Persian Gulf and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz harm their interests.”
