🔻Donald Trump said Iran is “desperately seeking a deal.” He also said that a war with Iran will end before or immediately after the U.S. congressional midterm elections.
During the Open Ireland golf tournament, the U.S. president told reporters: “Iran really wants to reach a deal. They keep calling. They want to reach a deal, but their deal has to be right. I won’t accept a deal that isn’t good.”
After diesel prices in the U.S. rose to more than six dollars a gallon, Mr. Trump had also said a few days ago that diesel prices after the election—on November 3, 12 Aban—will sharply fall.
Today, he also said: “A war with Iran will end right after, or even before, but right after the midterm elections, and diesel prices will fall like a rock.”
Regarding a meeting of foreign ministers of the Gulf states and the Sea of Oman with Iran’s participation, the U.S. president said this issue is not important to him and that it concerns those countries themselves.
Iran says that at this meeting, which will be held in Oman tomorrow, discussions will take place about a new route for transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
This comes as Abbas Araqchi once again said “Iran’s condition for reopening the Strait of Hormuz is the United States’ return to its commitments under the Islamabad understandings.”
