🔶 The issue of the Strait of Hormuz is raised at a meeting of NATO leaders CNN, citing one of the senior officials of the White House, reported that the issue of ensuring the security of the Strait of Hormuz is expected to be one of the central topics of discussions among the leaders of NATO member countries at the summit of the alliance, which will be held in Ankara. The official said in this regard: “I think the issue of the Strait of Hormuz and the matter of protecting navigation through this waterway are among the topics that will be discussed at this summit.” According to the official’s remarks, a number of NATO members have announced their readiness to participate in providing security for the passage of ships, but many of these countries “do not have the vessels or the necessary equipment to play an effective role in such a maritime mission.”
