الهه توکلیان، whose eye was injured in the 1401 protests, in an interview with احمد صمدی, a journalist with Iran International, in Frankfurt, said about the awarding of the Freedom Prize to the people of Iran: “This prize is for the families of those killed, the victims of repression, and those whose blood was spilled in the streets of Iran. I hope that one day we will present this prize at the Freedom Square to the families of those who are forever remembered and to the injured.”
