Prince Reza Pahlavi said on Saturday, 16 Aban, at a gathering of Iranians in Frankfurt that only the free vote of the people will determine the future of Iran, and that Iranians must remain united in order to obtain the right to choose and end the Islamic Republic.
After receiving the 2026 Freedom Prize from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation on behalf of the Iranian people, he said that the medal of this prize belongs to the Iranian nation and that the presence of Iranians at this gathering is an example of their unity.
Prince Reza Pahlavi said that Iranians may not cast the same votes in the next election, but they must now have a shared goal of achieving freedom and establishing a free ballot box. He added that the people of Iran want freedom and human rights that people in free countries enjoy.
He also described the Constitutional Revolution as an example of Iran’s background in putting an end to absolute rule and establishing a parliamentary system, and said that reclaiming freedom, security, independence, and people’s sovereignty depends on the shared efforts of Iranians.
