🔺Wave of condemnation over attack on two UAE vessels in the Strait of Hormuz

▪ Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab League, and the Arab Parliament all, in the same day, condemned the attack on two vessels of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in the Strait of Hormuz, which has been attributed to the Islamic Republic.

▪ Jasem Mohammed Albudaiwi, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, called the action a “brutal attack.”

▪ Mohammed Ahmed Al Yemahi, the President of the Arab Parliament, said that the security of international maritime routes, freedom of navigation, and safe passage are “not a matter of negotiation or political pressure.”

▪ The Saudi Foreign Ministry said that the repetition of these attacks is “a dangerously escalatory measure and a direct threat” to maritime security and the global supply of energy. Riyadh held the Islamic Republic fully responsible for the consequences of the continuation of these attacks.
