🔺United Nations: Deadliest month for civilians in Ukraine recorded
▪The UN human rights monitoring mission in Ukraine said that in Tir [July], at least 437 civilians were killed and 2,610 others were injured; the highest monthly figure recorded since Esfand 1400.
▪This figure is 30% higher than in Khordad and 70% higher than in Tir of last year. The number of fatalities is the highest since Ordibehesht 1401, and child deaths—with 17 killed and 166 injured—are the highest since Farvardin of the same year.
▪Long-range weapons, including missiles and drones, accounted for 38% of the casualties. Deaths resulting from airstrikes increased by 143%, and guided bombs became the second leading cause of casualties. In Tir, Russia fired at least 429 missiles, more than twice the number fired in Khordad.
