🔸The American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, citing “informed sources,” wrote on Friday, the second of Mordad, that U.S. President Donald Trump has recently become more pessimistic about whether negotiations with Iran can lead to lasting peace.

🔸A senior U.S. government official told the paper that “Trump believes the only thing Iran understands is military pressure,” adding that he is in a “vengeance” mindset toward Tehran.

🔸The official also said the president sees no very favorable options other than continuing the attacks.

🔸In the past two weeks, Iran and the United States have traded fire over control of the Strait of Hormuz, and after the fragile ceasefire between the two countries quickly collapsed, clashes intensified.
