Videos published on social media show that the bed of a river in Aligudarz County in Lorestan province has been asphalted.

Mohammad Lotfi Mianajii, the mayor of Aligudarz, said that this river did not have a permanent flow of water, and that the risk of flooding was eliminated by implementing an upstream dam.

According to him, part of the riverbed has been used for a parking lot, the weekly market, and urban space.
