Videos posted on social media show clashes between pilgrims during the Arbaeen ceremonies in Karbala.

Earlier, a media outlet in Iraq released a video of the clash and described it as fighting between supporters of the Islamic Republic and followers of Sadegh Shirazi, a Shiite cleric who is critical of the Islamic Republic, during the Arbaeen procession.

The clash ended with the intervention of Iraqi police. On social media, it was said that several people were arrested and injured in the incident.
