US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff intends to discuss proposals for Ukraine settlement negotiations during his visit to Russia, Axios correspondent Barak Ravid reported, citing sources.

The goal is to "build on progress made with Ukraine and Europe, discuss the proposals with Russia, and create a pathway toward direct trilateral and broader multilateral negotiations."

The Oslo consultations covered long-term security guarantees, economic recovery, and a broader European security architecture, with "strong alignment" among the US, Ukraine, and Europe.
