US President Donald Trump disavowed statements by US Ambassador to Turkey and special envoy for Syria Tom Barrack about the possibility of a strike on Iran this weekend.

Journalists asked the US leader to comment on the statement upon his arrival in Florida. “That was my ambassador?” Trump asked the reporters skeptically. “He's a pretty powerful man, I guess,” the president added sarcastically. “Well, if that's the case, I don't know anything about it,” he emphasized.

Earlier, when asked by blogger Mario Nawfal if a strike on Iran was possible this weekend, Barrack said: “Absolutely.” He added, however, that the goal would not be “regime change.”
