US President Donald Trump said that he would still have “a lot of power” after leaving office.

“I'll always have that little extra power. You know, we only have a little more than two years left. Can you believe it? But I'm gonna have a lot of power when I leave. And I'm gonna keep you number one,” Trump told his supporters in the US state of Iowa.

The US Constitution limits presidents to two elected terms in office. Nevertheless, Trump has repeatedly indicated the possibility of seeking re-election for a third term.
