Ukraine has agreed not to target a number of non-Russian oil tankers and Black Sea infrastructure that are crucial for the export of Kazakh crude oil.

Bloomberg reported this, citing an American official, and wrote that under this agreement, Kyiv will refrain from attacking the facilities of the Caspian Sea Pipeline Consortium and the vessels bound for this terminal.

The agreement is conditional on the ships not being under Ukrainian sanctions, not carrying Russian cargo, and not being owned by individuals or entities Russian.

The commitment was reached after talks between senior U.S. and Ukrainian officials and could help restore the flow of oil from the terminal of this consortium near Russia’s Novorossiysk.
