🔻UK’s counter-terrorism police have confirmed that no homemade explosive devices were found in three vans that earlier this week triggered the declaration of an emergency security status near an airbase in southern Britain.
However, the police said that “some fuel” was found in the three vehicles.
Earlier, police in the UK said that the five men who had been arrested near RAF Fairford, the airbase used by the United States, and in connection with that case, had been released on heavy bail.
Lawrence Taylor, head of counter-terrorism policing, told reporters in London: “That doesn’t mean the end of the investigation,” adding that the five people would be subject to “strict” conditions for release on bail.
All five are British, live in London, and are under 30 years old.
