The UK Maritime Trade Operations Agency said on Thursday, the 7th of Aban, that an oil tanker, while leaving the Strait of Hormuz, was hit by an unidentified projectile.

The agency said that a security officer of a shipping company reported the incident and said the oil tanker belonging to the company was targeted while completing its route exit from the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations Agency, so far, no report has been received of the tanker crew being injured or of any environmental damage caused by the incident.
