🔻Britain’s counter-terrorism police on Thursday arrested a British-Iranian dual citizen on suspicion of “preparing terrorist acts.”

The arrest was carried out as part of an investigation into a security incident at the UK’s RAF Fairford base.

It has been reported that another man, 26 years old and described as a British citizen, has also been questioned. In addition, two buildings in the incident area have been searched.

Yesterday, Andy Burnham, the UK prime minister, said that his government believes Iran had a “role” in the security incident at the RAF Fairford base.

However, Iran has strongly condemned any linking of the incident to Tehran and called it part of “Iranophobia” in British media.
