U.S. President Donald Trump, referring to a military operation against the Islamic Republic, said that the country’s navy and air force have been wiped out, and other parts of its military capabilities, including radars and air defense systems, have been destroyed.
Trump said: “129 fighter jets are now scattered across the runways of the Islamic Republic’s airports. Their radar has been destroyed, their air defenses have been destroyed, everything has been destroyed, and their leaders have been destroyed.”
The U.S. president also, referring to the killing of a number of officials of the Islamic Republic, said: “The first tier of their leaders has been wiped out. The second tier of their leaders has been wiped out. Even half of their third-tier leaders has been wiped out.”
Trump added that the remaining officials of the Islamic Republic have asked for the attacks to stop and have requested that he guarantee they will not be killed. He said: “They wanted me to guarantee that we won’t kill them, like the rest of those we killed.”
Trump also blamed the Islamic Republic for the killing of a large number of Americans in attacks involving roadside bombs over the past years, and referred to the killing of Qassem Soleimani during his first term in office. https://
