🔸The U.S. Army announced that U.S. and Saudi Arabian fighter jets targeted the positions of Iran-supported militias in Iraq early on Wednesday, the 7th of Mordad; groups that, according to Washington, carried out more than 24 drone attacks in recent days.

🔸In a statement, the U.S. Central Command said the attacks targeted “Iran-aligned terrorists” whom the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had directed to strike U.S. forces and Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure.

🔸In a message, CENTCOM wrote that U.S. and Saudi aircraft, in “precision strikes,” targeted several logistical sites and weapons storage facilities of these groups in different areas of eastern Iraq. CENTCOM called the action a firm response to more than 30 drone attacks that, according to it, were carried out in the past 72 hours at the order of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

🔸The statement said that the attacks against U.S. forces were not successful.

🔸The U.S. Central Command also announced that from February to April 2026, Iran-aligned militias in Iraq attempted more than 600 times to target citizens and American facilities.
