Trump: I won’t even think about a bad deal with Iran

🔸Donald Trump, the U.S. president, says that while he is considering additional military action against Tehran, the Iranian government wants a deal with the United States.

🔸He raised the issue in a television interview conducted on Friday, 27 Shahrivar, with Robert Sherman, a reporter for the NewsNation network.

🔸Trump said: “They want to get a deal right now,” and added that he believes Iran is “losing in every way—financially and militarily.”

🔸He said: “If the deal is not the right deal, I won’t even think about it. But at the moment, they want to get a deal, because they are losing in every way.”

🔸Trump had also told the news site Axios on Thursday, 26 Shahrivar: “Soon I have to make a big decision. Do I want to take action and [destroy] them [the Iranian regime] or not? It’s a big decision. Anything could happen on my part.”

🔸In a Friday phone interview with Robert Sherman, he also said, in response to a question about his recent remarks about whether he is considering “destroying” Iran or not: “We’ll have to see what happens.”

🔸Trump’s remarks come as the U.S.-Iran war has entered its seventh month.
