The U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia, in a security notice, made its staff’s travel to the cities of Taif and Yanbu conditional on obtaining a special permit.

In this security notice, the reason given for issuing it was “the current security situation in Saudi Arabia.”

On Saturday, Yemen’s Houthis carried out an attack near the main airport in Riyadh.
