🔸 The Public Relations Office of the General Department of Environmental Protection of Semnan Province, by publishing a video on social media networks, reported the recording of images of two Iranian leopards drinking water from a water trough in Toran National Park. The images were captured by camera traps.

🔸#Iranian_leopard is among the endangered species in Iran; due to illegal hunting and the destruction of the habitat of its population in recent years, its numbers have declined significantly.

🔸 Toran is located in the southernmost part of Golestan Province, extending to the easternmost end of Semnan Province, and in the southeast of Shahrood County, and part of its eastern section is located in Sabzevar County.

🔸 After the Naybandan Wildlife Refuge in Tabas, Toran is the second largest protected area complex in Iran. Toran National Park and the Naybandan Wildlife Refuge, with an area of one million hectares, are also one of the 13 biosphere reserves in Iran.
