The European Commission is preparing the 23rd package of anti-Russian sanctions, which is expected to be presented by the end of 2026, Politico reported.

According to the newspaper, Germany and Poland are calling for new sanctions. The countries plan to demand additional restrictions on Russian energy resources at a meeting of the European Council on October 15 amid agreements between Moscow and Washington on diesel supplies.
