The European Commission has approved a proposal to provide Ukraine with 45 billion euros in funding for 2027.

“Today, the European Commission took another step in the implementation of the 90-billion-euro Ukraine Support Loan. The package adopted today includes a proposal for the Council to approve the remaining loan amount of 45 billion for 2027," the commission said.

The commission added that up to 13.3 billion euros would be allocated for budget support, while 31.7 billion euros would go toward weapons purchases.
