🎥 The Clash of the Moon and the Sun Over Berlin; Exclusive Images of the 2026 Eclipse

The first exclusive images of the solar eclipse on Wednesday evening in Berlin were recorded; an astronomical event in which the Moon passes in front of the Sun, and at the peak of the eclipse, at 20:08, it covered nearly 85 percent of the Sun’s disk in the sky over the German capital.

A partial solar eclipse in Berlin began at 19:15 and, after 1 hour and 23 minutes, ended at about 20:38.

At the same time, the Berlin Planetarium Foundation provided the opportunity to observe this phenomenon during “the Long Night of Astronomy,” using professional telescopes.

Experts also, while guiding live observation, explained the mechanism of the solar eclipse for enthusiasts.

That same night, Berlin’s sky will also host the “Perseids meteor shower.”

Directly observing the Sun, even during a partial eclipse, without standard glasses or protective equipment can cause serious damage to the eyes.
