🔺Telegraph: The Islamic Republic is seeking to buy the S-400 from Russia

▪ The Telegraph newspaper, citing an official from the Islamic Republic, wrote that the Islamic Republic and Russia are negotiating the sale of the S-400 air defense system. The official said the Islamic Republic is “optimistic” that Vladimir Putin will agree to the sale.

▪ Mohsen Rezai on Thursday, 14 Aban, in a meeting with Putin, delivered a message attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, whose main request, he said, was to obtain weapons from Russia.

▪ The Kremlin says Rezai carried a message from the leader of the Islamic Republic. After the meeting, Rezai said the talks focused on regional security and ending the war. However, neither side has officially commented on a contract regarding the S-400.
