🔻Tadej Pogačar, after winning his fifth title in the Tour de France, announced that he is still improving and also spoke about the possibility of an early end to his professional career.

🔹The 27-year-old Slovenian, with his victory in the 2026 Tour de France, became the winner of the most prestigious cycling competition for the fifth time, joining legends such as Eddy Merckx, the record holder for five titles of this race. He celebrated this achievement with a special jersey in yellow, featuring the number “5.”

🔹After the race, Pogačar said: “You become more experienced and you learn to manage the conditions better. Improvements might be small, but it’s these details—these feelings and this mentality—that make the difference. I think I’ve improved a lot in these areas.”

🔹He also thanked his teammates in the UAE Emirates XRG team and said: “A few of the guys were battling illness during the race, but they stayed with the team with all their strength. I’ve always appreciated the efforts of my teammates, but now my respect for them has grown several times over.”
