Today at 5:45 p.m. Eastern Time (01:15 a.m. Iran time), Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces fired several ballistic missiles from Iran toward American forces stationed in the Middle East; an action that was an attempt at a surprise attack. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed. U.S. forces remain at the highest level of alert and operational readiness.
