Syria will provide Iraq with a route for oil transit through its territory to divert shipments away from the Strait of Hormuz, Syrian Petroleum Company CEO Yousef Qiblawy told Bloomberg.

According to him, the first convoy of oil tankers will arrive in Syria by mid-October.
