The EU fears the US will introduce a ban on diesel exports to Europe contrary to G7 promises, Der Spiegel reports, citing a confidential protocol from a closed-door meeting of EU ambassadors.

The European Commission noted in its turn that even the awareness of economic damage to US companies themselves might not prevent Washington from taking such a step.
