🔶 Storm Mania in Germany; power outages and a warning of rising seawater
The “Mania” storm swept parts of Germany on Sunday, October 25 (Aban 3), with thousands of homes in Freiburg left without power. The city’s university hospital limited the intake of emergency patients, and sea and rail travel in various parts of the country was disrupted.
At the same time, authorities issued warnings about rising water levels along the North Sea coasts. The German Meteorological Service has issued warnings of strong winds for extensive areas in the north, center, west, and southwest of the country. Firefighting forces have also been dispatched on multiple occasions to deal with falling trees, broken branches, and other consequences of the storm. According to forecasts, the wind intensity will gradually decrease from Sunday night to early Monday morning.
