The spokesperson of the Saudi Arabia-led coalition in Yemen announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis toward the city of Najran.

In a message on the X social network, Turki al-Maliki wrote: “Following the interception operation, missile debris fell to the ground, and an assessment of possible damages is underway.”

In recent weeks, the Houthis have targeted areas deep inside Saudi Arabia’s territory. Al-Abha, Jizan, and Najran have also been targeted.

Previously, Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, noted that the Islamic Republic is the source of the Houthis’ capabilities and that without the Islamic Republic’s direct support, the group would not have the power it has today.
